About this role
Role: Cost Centre Coordinator / Specialist (all genders), part-time (25h p.w), in the Corporate Governance & Sustainability (CG&S) department. Working directly with the General Counsel and SVP of Corporate Governance & Sustainability and reporting into the Team Lead Strategy & Projects.
Responsibilities:
- Track expenses against project budgets and financial forecasts to ensure alignment with targets.
- Manage the lifecycle of purchase orders to guarantee precise allocation, prevent overbooking, and mitigate financial risks.
- Prepare comprehensive budget vs. actual reports, investigate financial variances, and communicate actionable insights and proposed next steps to top management of CG&S.
- Collaborate closely with cost centre owners and controllers, acting as primary point of contact, translating financial processes, providing guidance on expense categorisation, and facilitating cross-functional alignment.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements across core financial workflows, including streamlining the accrual process and enhancing budget and forecast management systems.
Qualifications:
- Completed degree or recognised vocational training in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, plus minimum 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles, specifically in budgeting, accruals, controlling, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in spreadsheets (Google Sheets and Excel) for data analysis, with strong command of advanced formulas and pivot tables.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven experience as a business partner and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical mindset and keen eye for detail, with ability to solve problems, interpret financial data accurately, and manage multiple strict reporting deadlines.
- Business-fluent in written and spoken English; German is a bonus but not required.
