Grab your popcorn - but try not to spill it when you leap with fright! - because the Berlin Halloween Horror-a-Thon returns to the Babylon Cinema this October 30, promising a full 24 hours of non-stop horror films, trivia, drinking games and general horror madness.

A full 24 hours of classic horror movies

If you’re more of a romantic comedy kind of person, you should probably look away now, because this horror marathon is certainly not for the faint of heart. Returning for the third year in a row this October, the Berlin Halloween Horror-a-Thon gives adrenaline junkies in Berlin the chance to mingle with fellow horror fans for a full day of nerve-jangling fun.

The third edition of this special Halloween extravaganza features 14 of the greatest horror and exploitation classics of all time, including The Conjuring (2013), Evil Dead 2 (1987), Halloween (1978), Curse of the Headless Horseman (1972), The Shining (1980) and A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). The movies are played back to back (with several 10-minute breaks for toilet visits!) from 6 pm on October 30, right through to 6 pm on October 31. You’ll be leaving the cinema with jelly legs!

As well as the bumper set of horror films, the jam-packed event also includes a horror movie trivia round (with prize giveaways), interactive drinking games, classic horror trailer shows and more. Plus, every Full Marathon Ticket also comes with an exclusive gift bag packed with horror goodies.

Attending the Berlin Halloween Horror-a-Thon

If you’re a fright freak looking for a great Halloween event in Germany’s capital city, the Halloween Horror-a-thon is an absolute must.

Full Marathon Tickets cost 28 euros and can be purchased via the Babylon Berlin website, where you can also find the day’s full programme and further information. If you’re settling in for the full 24-hour marathon, you are also welcome to bring your own refreshments, pillows, blankets, sleeping bags and anything else to make you more comfortable in the cinema.

Please note that many of the films screened during the marathon will show scenes of graphic violence, gore, cannibalism and sadism - meaning this is definitely not an event suitable for the whole family! Under 18s are unfortunately not permitted to attend.
