Cider World Frankfurt
Industry professionals from across Europe, locals and internationals come together in Frankfurt to celebrate one of the city’s most famous beverages. Cider, or apple wine - known locally as "Ebbelwoi" - has played a significant part in the social and commercial life of Frankfurt for generations. Cider World Frankfurt is an event for both industry professionals and members of the public.
Taste the cider
Although Germany is renowned for its beer, Frankfurt is the home of first-rate cider. Apple winemaking has been a major part of the identity of Frankfurt am Main since the 16th century. It’s produced by juicing apples and then fermenting the juice with yeast. A small amount of juice from the fruit of the Speierling tree is sometimes also added.
The event is an ideal opportunity to get acquainted with German cuisine. There are countless famous restaurants in the region that specialise in apple wine and the traditional food that complements it.
