Rheingau Gourmet & Wine Festival
Tickle your taste buds at the annual Rheingau Gourmet & Wine Festival this month, one of the largest and most important culinary events in the world.
Experience the best from a star-studded lineup of chefs and winemakers
The Gourmet & Wine Festival has been celebrating gastronomy and wine for the past 25 years, and this year will not be an exception. For 18 days, renowned chefs and winemakers from around the world will gather in Eltville to present their work, introduce new menus and wines, and interact with guests.
A total of 48 chefs from 10 countries will showcase their work through dishes, pairings and menus, while more than 150 winemakers from eight countries will also bring their best bottles to the table. Most of the chefs visiting are partners with the winemakers, so it will be the perfect opportunity to learn more about wine tasting and matching various dishes to the perfect glass.
The festival has been promoting organic and regional ingredients from the very beginning. Most participating wineries are certified organic productions, and chefs will create beautiful dishes using both organic and regional products from the area as well.
Workshops and events to broaden your taste buds
Just when you think you’re done with stuffing yourself with food and wine, move on to the workshop and event program for something new and more hands-on. More than 60 events will be presented at the festival, including cooking shows, tastings, workshops, masterclasses, rare wine tastings and gala dinners.
The first and last day of the festival will be the highlights, with 450 guests participating in a special gala dinner prepared by 10 renowned chefs, 20 wine stands and three live bands to flourish the experience even more.
