Vodafone CallYa: The perfect mobile plan for your next holiday

No inflexible contracts, no unexpected costs: with the Vodafone CallYa eSIM, you get a flexible, contract-free mobile plan that can be changed or paused at any time. The SIM itself is free; you only pay when you top up your account for the first time.

Best of all, thanks to EU roaming, you can use your CallYa plan (including minutes, messages and data) in 43 European countries without incurring any additional fees - making it the perfect mobile plan for your next trip.

Choose the plan that’s right for you

There are four CallYa prepaid plans to choose from, so you don’t pay for more than you need:

  • CallYa Allnet Flat S: 200 minutes or text messages within Germany and the EU, plus 6GB of data (9,99 euros every four weeks)
  • CallYa Allnet Flat M: 500 minutes or text messages within Germany and the EU, plus 10GB of data (14,99 euros every four weeks)
  • CallYa Black: 500 minutes or text messages within Germany and the EU, plus unlimited data (79,99 euros every four weeks)
  • CallYa yearly tariff: 2.400 minutes or text messages within Germany and the EU, plus 50GB of data (99,99 euros for one year)

No contracts

Rather than locking you into a contract, Vodafone’s CallYa plans are designed to be as flexible as possible, allowing you to change plans from month-to-month, or pause your plan when you don’t need it. Each plan is valid for 28 days, and is automatically paused if you don’t top up.

So, once your holiday is over, if you no longer want to use your CallYa plan, there’s nothing you need to do. Your plan will simply pause until you top up your credit again.

Free roaming in 43 countries

You can use your CallYa plan in 43 European countries without incurring any additional fees, including: Azores, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Ceuta, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, French Guiana, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, La Reunion, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madeira, Malta, Martinique, Mayotte, Melilla, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Martin, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Note that EU roaming is not available in Albania, Andorra, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, North Macedonia, San Marino, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine or Vatican City.

Add credit to your CallYa account anytime, anywhere

To keep your plan rolling over, you’ll need to add credit to your phone every 28 days. You can do this easily, from anywhere in the world, via the Vodafone website. All you need is an internet connection and a payment method.

How to get started with CallYa

Getting your CallYa prepaid plan set up couldn’t be simpler:

1. Order your CallYa eSIM for free

Head to the Vodafone website and order your free CallYa eSIM with your desired CallYa plan. To complete your order, you’ll need to verify your identity online with Deutsche Post video identification. Once this is done, you’ll receive an email from Vodafone with all the information you need.

2. Identify yourself

As part of the sign-up process, you’ll need to identify yourself online via video call. This has been a legal requirement for all new prepaid customers in Germany since 2017. All you need is a computer, smartphone or tablet with a camera and an internet connection, and your personal identification document to hand.

If you can’t complete the identity verification immediately, you are allowed to do it within 30 days, by following the instructions in the email you receive from Vodafone.

3. Install your eSIM on your smartphone

Once you have successfully verified your identity, Vodafone will email you a PDF document. You need to open this document using the password you chose during the sign-up process. You then scan the eSIM QR code using your smartphone camera, and enter the six-digit verification code from the PDF. Follow the instructions on your device and the eSIM will be installed.

To activate your CallYa plan, you need to top up your credit, either by buying a CallNow prepaid credit from Amazon, or by visiting the Vodafone website and entering your phone number and payment details.
