The controversy surrounding Mohrenstraße lies in its name, as "Mohr" is an outdated and derogatory term for people of African descent. As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, there were ongoing discussions about whether to rename Mohrenstraße to a more inclusive and culturally sensitive name, but no official decision had been made at that time.
