As an Engineering Manager, you will establish and lead a new Engineering team in Zalando. Your joint mission is to ensure our 50+ million customers enjoy the experience of returning products. You lead a team of backend engineers and collaborate closely with Product, Design and other engineering teams to design and deliver impactful product features and operate services at scale, and create a new post-purchase experience at Zalando for our customers.

Build up, lead, inspire and grow a product-driven team of engineers while ensuring smooth delivery and continuous improvement
Manage stakeholders and dependencies, work closely with engineering and product counterparts on solution planning, design and implementation (internal and external)
Take architectural decisions, contribute to the prioritization topics, spearhead the documentation and learnings from incidents
Ensure system-reliability engineering and technical compliance
Leader with a proven track record for leading high-performing engineering teams
Passionate about solving customer problems and building gorgeous customer experiences
Great communication skills and experience driving innovation across multiple premises
