Grid Connection Manager

An established international renewable energy developer is expanding its German team and is seeking a Grid Connection Manager to support the connection of large-scale wind, solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects to the German grid.

The Role
As Grid Connection Manager, you will play a key role across the full lifecycle of grid connection activities for utility-scale projects, working closely with development, engineering and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing grid connection processes for large onshore wind, PV and BESS projects across Germany
- Leading technical and commercial discussions with TSOs and DSOs
- Coordinating grid studies, connection applications and technical documentation
- Supporting project development teams with grid-related strategy, timelines and risk assessment
- Managing external consultants and ensuring compliance with German grid codes and regulations
- Contributing to the optimisation of grid connection strategies in constrained networks
Your Profile
- Proven experience in grid connection, grid access or grid integration within the German market
- Strong understanding of German TSOs/DSOs, grid codes and permitting processes
- Background in wind, solar PV, BESS or large-scale energy infrastructure projects
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent German and strong English communication skills
