About this role
Your tasks
- During your internship, you will contribute to the application of the gate driver in an inverter system as a proof of concept.
- You will develop a simulation of the inverter system by emulating the gate driver to achieve better simulation results and then export layout improvements to achieve better system performance.
- Furthermore, you will add software features in an agile style to meet requirements while continuously evaluating the impact of the changes on the evaluation hardware.
- In addition, you will conduct a full characterization and documentation of all your work functions, including the signal response within our testing environment, with the support of our hardware experts.
- Last but not least, you will assist in the development of an evaluation kit and its documentation.
Your profile
- Education: studies in the field of Power Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Informatics, Physics or comparable
- Experience and Knowledge: in MOSFET behavior, power electronics, PCB design and layout, PSpice simulation, MATLAB and Simulink; experience in developing and testing new software features for embedded hardware; knowledge of C, Python or other programming skills preferred; practical experience with embedded laboratory measurements setups appreciated
- Personality and Working Practice: you are a careful and conscientious individual with a passion for testing and analysis
- Languages: good in German or English
