Overview
Our client stands for first-class energy distribution and supply with tailor-made solutions. For the new quality department, they are seeking a manager (m/f/d) to lead the team on a full-time basis (40 hours per week) on site in Mannheim.
Responsibilities
- Department management: Responsibility for managing the quality department, including disciplinary management of the quality assurance team.
- Strategic development: Further development and implementation of quality and process strategies in line with corporate goals.
- Quality assurance: Ensuring the implementation and continuous improvement of measures for product and process quality.
- Documentation and reporting: Creation and continuous maintenance of quality documentation, evaluations, and key performance indicators. Regular reporting to senior management.
- Error and complaint management: Analysis and processing of customer complaints and internal quality issues, including implementation and follow-up of corrective measures (e.g., 8D reports).
- Audits: Planning, coordination, and implementation of internal and external audits (e.g., ISO 9001, customer audits), including follow-up on audit findings. Training and knowledge transfer: Development and implementation of internal training courses on QA processes and standards.
- Supplier quality management: Close cooperation with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming goods and components.
- Risk management: Identification of process risks and initiation of measures to reduce quality and compliance risks.
Requirements
- Degree in quality management, industrial engineering, or a comparable technical/scientific qualification
- Several years of professional experience in quality assurance, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proven leadership experience or strong leadership potential with a willingness to take on team responsibility
- Very good knowledge of quality management methods and tools (e.g., FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma) and familiarity with relevant standards such as ISO 9001
- Experience in working with ERP systems and QA tools; knowledge of statistical analysis software is an advantage
- Very good written and spoken German and English
- Knowledge of Japanese is an advantage, but not a requirement
