Wind Project Manager

020A leading multinational IPP is seeking an experienced Wind Project Manager to lead the development phase of onshore wind projects across Germany. With a significant and growing pipeline, the company is playing a central role in accelerating the energy transition across Europe and beyond.
Based in Hamburg, you will join a high-performing, cross-functional team and take ownership of wind project development from site origination through to RtB status. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full development lifecycle of onshore wind projects, from site selection and permitting through to RTB
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and internal reporting
- Coordinate environmental and technical due diligence, including grid connection studies and wind yield analysis
- Lead the permitting process, working closely with authorities, consultants, and internal legal teams
- Engage with stakeholders including landowners, local communities, and municipalities
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, grid, legal, commercial) to ensure alignment throughout development
- Support in securing all necessary approvals, land rights, and third-party agreements
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with national and regional planning laws
- Contribute to project strategy and portfolio optimisation within the wider German market
Your Profile:
- Degree in engineering, environmental science, renewable energy or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in wind project development, ideally in the German market
- Strong understanding of permitting processes, land acquisition, and grid connection in Germany
- Proven track record of bringing wind projects through to RTB
- Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel within Germany for site visits and stakeholder meetings
