A Japanese company that is using its combined capabilities in arc welding technology and system integration to further develop the potential of automation in European business is looking for a Business Controller (m/w/d) (Department: Finance) in Munich.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Further development and optimization of the Finance / Controlling department
Professional management of all employees in the Finance department in finance and controlling topics
Preparation of monthly / quarterly and annual financial statements for the German GmbH
Determination, monitoring and posting of provisions and accruals and deferrals
Carrying out intercompany reconciliations
Supervision of asset accounting in accordance with HGB and IFRS
Timely preparation of monthly reporting (reporting system) and competent support of the management, e.g. with the preparation of analyses, target/actual comparisons and ad hoc evaluations
Preparation and coordination of budget, forecast and special analyses
Creation and maintenance of cost center and cost type structures
Management of all “OPs” (open items)
Preparation, determination and documentation of the annual inventory in cooperation with the responsible departments
Contact and cooperation with auditors, tax consultants and the tax office
Supervision of tax audits
Contact person for all international and German accounting issues
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Completed business studies or completed commercial vocational training with several years of professional experience in accounting (further training as an accountant would be an advantage)
Familiar with group structures (international)
High affinity for numbers and good knowledge of German tax law
Experienced with common MS Office applications, especially Excel
Good knowledge of SAP (preferably SAP Business One)
Analytical thinking, quick comprehension and goal-oriented work
Strong hands-on mentality and high level of initiative
Confident handling of time pressure
German required
Profound knowledge of written and spoken English
