Financial Accountant (m/f/d)

Company Overview

A Japanese company is looking for Financial Accountant (m/f/d) in Munich office.

Job Responsibilities

• Receivables management, including dunning processes, payment monitoring, and resolution of outstanding items
• Active involvement in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting
• Support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB
• Assistance with tax returns and collaboration with external tax advisors
• Maintenance and continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems
• Preparation of financial reports and evaluations for management
• Serve as a point of contact for internal departments and external partners

Job Requirements

• Completed commercial training with further qualification as a financial accountant or a comparable certification
• Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in financial accounting, ideally with a focus on receivables management
• Strong knowledge of HGB; familiarity with German VAT law (UStG) is a plus
• Proficient in accounting software such as DATEV, SAP, or Business Central
• High numerical affinity, strong analytical skills, and a structured working style
• Proactive and reliable with a hands‑on mentality and a high level of initiative
• A team player with flexibility, discretion, and a collaborative mindset
• Language skills:
  • English: Business-level proficiency required
  • German or Japanese: Proficiency is an advantage
