Senior Executive Fraud Expert (m/f/d)

The Strategic Payment Business Department manages and develops our global merchant-side payment ecosystem across 27 countries and all channels (ECOM, MOTO, POS). We optimize the payment experience, manage costs, mitigate risks, and integrate innovative payment methods while acting as a central interface between Business, IT, payment providers, and internal stakeholders.

As a Senior Executive Fraud Expert (m/f/d), you will lead our fraud prevention strategy and protect our global operations. You will drive strategic initiatives and manage key stakeholders. By using advanced data, technology, and industry expertise, you will detect emerging threats, reduce losses, continuously improve fraud controls across all markets and shape the future of fraud management within the organization.

YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• You define and own the company-wide fraud prevention strategy across all products and channels, aligned with the organization’s risk appetite
• You monitor real-time transactions and continuously optimize fraud rules, scoring models, and detection systems while identifying emerging fraud patterns and coordinating mitigation
• You evaluate and implement advanced fraud prevention technologies and manage escalated fraud incidents, driving long-term remediation measures
• You provide actionable fraud insights, KPIs, and strategic recommendations to senior management while acting as the primary fraud risk advisor to stakeholders
• You partner cross-functionally with Payment, Risk, IT, Data, Compliance, Customer Service, and external providers to ensure robust, scalable fraud controls
• You drive initiatives to improve payment success rates, reduce losses, enhance customer trust, and ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• Education: You hold a degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a similar field
• Experience: You bring several years of experience in payments, e-commerce, or fraud risk (e.g., merchant, PSP, scheme, or acquirer)
• Expertise: You have a strong understanding of payment processes, authorization logic, and fraud typologies
• Analytics: You demonstrate an analytical mindset with technical affinity, including experience with fraud tools and basic scripting (e.g., SQL, Python)
• Leadership: You have proven leadership experience and strong stakeholder communication skills
• Languages: You are fluent in both German and English
