Principal Frontend Engineer - ZEOS Portal (all genders)

Role: The B2B Platform department is the core engine enabling partner integration, scaling within the Zalando ecosystem. As a Principal Frontend Engineer, you will be a key architect shaping the technical landscape of the platform. We design foundational services and microservices that serve the interface between business requirements and scalable, cost-effective, secure frontend-facing systems. Together with engineers, product managers, and the broader platform community, you will drive the technical vision for a high-performance, partner-friendly and immigration-focused frontend landscape. Responsibilities: -- Architect scalable ecosystems: Design and drive technical vision for high-town traffic customer portals and internal tools using React, TypeScript, Node.js. - Guide the transition and optimization of Micro Frontend/SPA architectures. - Bridge business and technical needs: Translate business opportunities into secure, scalable, cost-efficient solution designs. - Support infrastructure & security: Guide deployment in AWS/Kubernetes and implement modern authentication flows (Okta/OpenID). - Foster: Be part of Principal Community, support development excellence. - Align & Empower teams: work with cross-functional teams and translate technology, manage stakeholders.
