As a Software Engineer I – Python / AWS at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You will be responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. Our main goal is to automate processes within the European Legal Entity JPMSE by leveraging AWS Cloud and AI solutions. You will be part of a highly qualified team that will enhance your knowledge while implementing cutting-edge solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review code written by others.
- Support the Design and Implementation of scalable cloud-native software solutions using modern technology stacks to deliver highly available, performant, and resilient products.
- Have an understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security, Clean Coding, Object-Oriented Programming, Jira.
- Create RESTful APIs that are scalable, secure, and efficient.
- Support in the Design and Implementation innovative AI/ML solutions and agentic systems for our LLM Suite platform utilizing public cloud architecture and modern standards, specifically with AWS
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- 2+ years of processional coding experience in a dynamic language (preferably Python)
- Develop clean, secure and high-quality production code, and review code written by others.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3 and Lambda
- Experience with Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases (SQL) or No-SQL databases (e.g. OpenSearch, DynamoDB etc.)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Good to have LLM Experience: OpenAI, AWS Bedrock or Agentic AI.
- Good to have Automation Experience.
