As a Buying Team Lead in the Premium Portfolio you will report into the Premium Head of Buying. You are responsible for creating a clearly defined assortment strategy and taking ownership for its execution and delivery. You plan and manage the budget for this business, you are responsible for leading the buying team and partner relationships and working closely with the Merchandising Team.

You develop and execute the strategic direction for the Premium Textile business and implement it alongside internal stakeholders (buying team, marketing, markets, etc.) and partners.

You control OTB for your category to maximise sales, gross margin and inventory turn. Owning and managing the performance of the assortment, you will work closely with Merchandise Planning to drive sales and maximise profits.

You possess strong negotiation skills and the ability to take a strategic view, creating win-win situations and a mutually sustainable business for each party.
You will forge strong cross category and cross functional relationships, supporting others alongside the Fashion Categories, Partner Program or ZMS (Zalando Marketing Solutions).

You will look after a team across various levels from Buying Assistant through to Senior Buyer.
Experienced in working for a fast paced e-commerce retailing business. Relevant Buying Experience at a similar senior level, working with large international Fashion brands for at least 8+ years
As a strong leader, you are strategic and are able to manage multiple stakeholders effectively. You understand and are motivated by the challenges of the fashion e-com business. You pride yourself in your leadership skills with relevant experience leading a large team
You have expertise in spotting trends and are brave enough to take strategic buying decisions. You have a history of successfully implementing new process to become more efficient and customer-centric
Strong analytical skills are required to be successful in the role and strong business acumen in decision making.
Negotiation is in your blood, and you are always a compelling figure when communicating with suppliers and other stakeholders. You have mastered both written and spoken negotiations and come with a track record of successful negotiations.
