About this role
A growing renewable energy project developer active across multiple European markets is looking for a Team Lead Land Acquisition to support the expansion of its solar project pipeline in Southern Germany. In this role, you will lead regional land acquisition activities for utility-scale solar projects, managing relationships with landowners and stakeholders while supporting the development of new renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
Land Acquisition & Project Origination
- Identify and secure suitable land for ground-mounted solar projects
- Negotiate and conclude land lease agreements with landowners and farmers
- Evaluate land opportunities and support the early-stage development pipeline
Team Leadership
- Lead and support a regional land acquisition team
- Provide guidance on negotiation strategies, pipeline development and regional priorities
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with landowners, farmers, municipalities and local stakeholders
- Represent projects at local meetings, information events and municipal councils
Collaboration
- Work closely with internal project development teams and external partners to progress projects through early development stages
Candidate Profile
- Experience in land acquisition, sales or project development within renewable energy, real estate or infrastructure
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Good understanding of land agreements and regional development processes
- Fluent German (English beneficial)
- Willingness to travel within Southern Germany
