Join our digital consumer banking offer Chase at our new JPMorganChase office in the heart of Berlin. In this exciting chapter of continued growth and expansion, we’re looking for a passionate Payments Operations Business Analyst.
As an Payments Operations Business Analysis, You have relevant experience in back-office/middle-office banking operations or a comparable function within financial services, combining strong English and German communication with hands-on knowledge of Cash SEPA payments and card systems/networks along with retail banking platforms. Ideally, you bring exposure to payments and a detailed understanding of SEPA CT, SEPA DD, SEPA Inst, T2, SWIFT, plus the curiosity and drive to master new systems and rulebooks. You pair strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate information, identify root causes, and implement solutions; you influence and partner effectively across lines of business and support groups. A relevant university degree is required; accounting or finance qualifications are a plus. Broad Payments product literacy and the ability to quickly build understanding of new products from operations perspective will help you succeed in this hybrid Berlin-based role
Job responsibilities:
- Handle complex inquiries and investigations for issues that cannot be resolved by contact center teams.
- Provide the required audit trail and documentation to support the work performed.
- Capture requirements and support the development of tools and processes to enhance the work of the Cash & Card team.
- Collaborate with Development and other operations teams to coordinate Cash & Card Ops journeys.
- Analyze current team performance and publish statistics and reports.
- Support and provide training materials for Contact Center and Ops teams, as well as create and update playbooks for the Cash & Card Ops team for new payment products.
- People management of the German team for C&C Ops.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Relevant knowledge and experience, ideally in a back office, middle office, operations, or a similar function within a bank/financial services organization.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in German and English.
- Knowledge and understanding of card systems/networks and retail banking platforms.
- Ideally, experience in payments.
- Knowledge of SEPA CT / SEPA DD / SEPA Inst / T2 / SWIFT procedures, with detailed understanding of at least one of these.
- Willingness to learn new systems and rulebooks to support C&C Ops.
- Broad product knowledge, with the ability to build understanding of new products
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate information, identify issues, and work toward solutions.
- Ability to build partnerships and influence other lines of business and support groups.
