A chemical trading company is seeking a Chemical Sales professional to join its team in Düsseldorf. This role will focus on B2B sales of chemical-related products across Europe, working closely with both customers and suppliers. It is a suitable opportunity for someone with experience in chemicals, raw materials, trading, or manufacturing who is looking to develop long-term expertise in a specialist business area.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible for sales, customer management, and supplier coordination for chemical-related products in Europe. This is a trading sales role involving both customers and suppliers.

  • Conduct B2B sales of chemical-related products
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
  • Develop new customers and identify new business opportunities
  • Coordinate with suppliers and customers both within and outside Europe
  • Liaise with the Japanese head office and European offices
  • Handle quotations, contracts, delivery schedules, and pricing coordination
  • Collect market information, customer needs, and competitor information
  • Report to internal stakeholders and provide business support
  • Carry out other duties related to sales activities

Ideal Candidate

Required

  • B2B sales experience
  • Experience in chemicals, raw materials, materials, trading, or manufacturing
  • Business-level English communication skills
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work flexibly in a multicultural European environment
  • Willingness to stay long term and learn a specialist business area

Desired

  • Sales experience at a chemical trading company
  • Sales experience in chemicals, raw materials, or materials-related products
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical raw materials, fine chemicals, or industrial chemicals
  • Experience working for a Japanese company or dealing with Japanese companies
  • German language skills
  • Japanese language skills
  • Sales or business development experience in Europe
  • Interest in potentially leading a team or business area in the future
