THE ROLE & THE TEAM

As a Senior Product Analyst, you will join a cross-functional team of analysts, engineers, and a product/program manager working together to improve Zalando’s logistics network, while maintaining a collaborative, supportive, and respectful working environment.

The team builds and governs forecasting and planning solutions that impact operational performance, cost efficiency, and customer experience throughout Zalando Logistics Network.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• Own model governance, accuracy tracking, monitoring, and performance evaluation of forecasting and network planning models
• Develop deep expertise in end-to-end Logistics Network Planning products, data flows, and analytical workflows
• Independently operate, troubleshoot, validate, and adjust Python-based models and pipelines in close collaboration with engineering teams
• Translate complex business needs into clear analytical requirements and structured problem statements
• Proactively manage model, data, and assumption changes (new market or warehouse integrations, etc.) — ensuring transparency and stakeholder alignment
• Pull and transform data from multiple sources using SQL and Python
• Partner closely with operations, engineering, warehouses, and transport teams, and all relevant teams to ensure models reflect operational reality
• Serve as the go-to analytical contact for new features, enhancements, and model-related decisions
• Leverage AI tools (e.g. Copilot, Claude, etc.) to increase analytical productivity and accelerate issue resolution

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

• You bring strong experience in Data & Analytics with clear end-to-end ownership
• You possess advanced SQL skills (complex joins, aggregations, optimization) and Python exposure
• You have experience with forecasting and/or optimization models, backed by solid statistical thinking.
• You can translate business needs into actionable analytical solutions
• You collaborate effectively across stakeholders
• You clearly communicate model assumptions, performance, and trade-offs
• You have hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g. Copilot, Claude, etc.)
• You have experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks) and familiarity with local development environments such as VS Code is a nice to have but not a must
• Experience in the logistics or supply chain domains would be beneficial
