BIS offers a kindergarten and preschool for children aged 3 to 6 years at both campuses in Munich-Schwabing and Haimhausen. Our priorities are learning through fun and developing the whole child as an inquirer - the perfect preparation for primary school! At BIS City Campus in Munich-Schwabing the After School Care programme is available right through 6pm weekdays (5pm on Fridays).

The ISF Kindergarten and Preschool provides a wonderful introduction to learning and socialization within a warm and friendly international environment. Located in an independent section of the school campus, students enjoy the space to learn, play, and discover the world around them.

From ages 3-6, children join the Early Education community at BBIS Berlin Brandenburg International School, which takes inspiration from Reggio Emilia. It’s a very child-centred approach to education that recognises children’s potential from a very early age. By encouraging our children to engage in their own learning – within a safe, supportive environment – we are helping them to discover who they want to be.

Our modern kindergartens, in Munich, Cologne (Rondorf), and Duisburg (north of Düsseldorf), welcome children aged 2–5 into a nurturing and enriching environment. Through play, exploration, and active learnin, we foster curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking. School hours run from 8:30am to 3:30pm, with optional activities and extended supervision available providing flexibility for busy families and even more opportunities for learning and fun.

Our approach includes a high teacher-to-child ratio, situational education, and Montessori elements, preparing children for school while nurturing a love for learning.
