Everyone knows that Germans love Christmas. Every year (apart from this one, for obvious reasons) sprawling Christmas markets open across the country, serving hot Glühwein and spreading festive cheer. Well, you would probably be unsurprised to know that this love of Christmas has endured throughout history.
