Act Attack is an English-speaking acting and improv group for people from all backgrounds and at every level. Courses include acting, improv and musical theatre, voice and dance improvisation.

Drink and Draw claims to host “the most unique drawing session in Berlin”. Events include weekly life drawing, brushpen and ink workshops and watercolour landscape painting.

The Comedy Cafe Berlin (CCB) Training School offers improv and sketch courses and workshops for everyone from the comedy curious to advanced actors. Its native German and English-language instructors have studied at some of the most prestigious improv and comedy institutions around the world.

Berlin Tech Workers Coalition is a grassroots organisation which supports a broad range of employees in the German tech industry, including engineers, delivery riders, content moderators, video game artists and customer service employees.

Refugio is a cultural exchange cafe and project of the Berliner Stadtmission (run by the Evangelical Church in Berlin/Brandenburg. The cafe runs events open to all religious and non-religious people, including regular German and English language exchange cafes.

The American Academy in Berlin is a private research and cultural institution dedicated to “sustaining and enhancing the long-term intellectual, cultural, and political ties between the United States and Germany”. Head to the Academy near Wansee for events on security, journalism and jazz.

With members from more than 44 countries, Berlin International Women’s Club supports international women in their daily lives in Germany and hosts regular events, including business lunches, sightseeing trips, sports and charity fundraisers.

Bi+ Berlin is an association for Bi+, pansexual and non-monosexual people in the capital. The group regularly organises meet-ups for people of all ages, including for Bi+ and their partners.

Give Something Back to Berlin connects migrants, refugees and local people by organising workshops and over 80 weekly activities, including communal cooking classes, music lessons and language exchanges.

FC Internationale is a football club founded in 1980, with teams for adults, children and seniors up to 70 years old. The club includes people from more than 70 countries.

Kraft is a running club operating across 10 German cities. Runs are organised three times per week and welcome runners of every ability. 

Berlin Bruisers started as Germany’s first gay and inclusive rugby club and now welcomes all queer people. Training takes place in English on all days of the week.

A German rugby union club with a strong international focus, the BSC Rugby Club trains twice a week and is always looking for new players. Beginners are welcome! There is a women's and a men's team.

Democrats Abroad Berlin is the largest of Germany’s 14 chapters. The political organisation organises meet-ups, takes part in rallies, hosts cultural events and parties.

Republicans Overseas aspires to engage Americans living overseas in US political processes, through “briefings, policy research and advocacy,” and effectively influence policy which concerns expats.

The International Women* Space Berlin is a feminist and anti-racist organisation formed in 2012 for refugee and migrant women. The IW*S organises demonstrations, information evenings and poetry slams.

The Left Berlin is a group of international progressives living in the capital. The organisation publishes regular news and commentary from left-wing perspectives, organises events and spotlights other left-wing groups in the capital.

The Initiative Schwarze Menschen in Deutschland (Initiative for Black People in Germany or ISD) was founded in 1985 and is the oldest such organisation in the country. The group highlights structural oppression with the aim of improving the lives of Black people living in Germany.

Deutsche Wohnen Enteignen is a campaign group to socialise more housing in Berlin. After the campaign won a referendum in 2021, the group is working to have the referendum results enforced.

Mietendeckel Jetzt (Rent Cap Now) is a nationwide campaign for the German government to enforce a rent cap. The organisation has chapters across 19 German cities.

St George’s Anglican Church is an English-speaking parish of the Church of England in Berlin. Alongside services, the church has an international choir, a meditation group and hosts secondhand book sales.

The Central Council of Muslims in Germany (ZMD) has between 15.000 and 20.000 members from all over the world. While the organisation is based in Cologne, it has active groups all over the country.
