About this role
Role:
The ZEOS Logistics department provides partner‑facing multichannel Zalando Logistics solutions. As a Principal Product Designer you will be responsible for customer‑facing digital experiences for ZEOS Logistics service offerings, empowering fashion and lifestyle brands to expand their business and increase profitability across European marketplaces.
Responsibilities:
- Define the CX vision for the B2B space in ZEOS and create a 3‑year systems‑thinking roadmap.
- Plan and conduct research together with researchers and product managers, shaping quantitative and qualitative data to assess problem spaces and evaluate design solutions.
- Leverage merchant and customer insights to drive strategic projects and identify opportunities for value‑adding user experiences.
- Define and activate design principles, ensuring high‑quality experiences and meaningful impact for customers.
- Solve complex problems, harnessing technological innovations and setting standards through solution designs and customer journeys.
- Scope, define and oversee deliverables, providing product development teams with everything they need and raising the quality bar for releases.
- Mentor fellow designers, lead design‑ops initiatives, and build knowledge‑sharing channels across the team and community.
- Act as a thought leader and role model, contributing to the Zalando Product Design community through mentoring, teaching, writing and raising the bar in design reviews.
Qualifications:
- Significant product design experience leading strategic, cross‑product initiatives with a track record of raising design quality.
- Strong leadership skills: creating clarity amid uncertainty and influencing executive‑level stakeholders.
- Excellent collaboration abilities, building connections across products, pillars and organisations.
- Proven ability to work on ambiguous, strategic projects and guide teams through complexity.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and insights for creative decisions.
- Mastery of the end‑to‑end iterative design process (research, design thinking, user stories, journey mapping, wire‑framing, prototyping, design systems, user testing, high‑fidelity visuals).
- Proficiency with industry design and collaboration tools, especially Figma; experience with prompting tools (e.g., Loveable, Claude) is a plus.
- Human‑centred design mindset, delivering technology that serves real human needs.
- Experience overseeing quality at scale across multiple workstreams.
- Experimental, data‑driven approach to iteration and feature development.
- Empathy and strong storytelling skills to communicate design vision and decisions to executive and cross‑organisational audiences.
