What you'll build

We are looking for a tech-savy language enthusiast (f/m/d) to support our Corporate Content Translation Team at SAP’s Language Experience (LX) unit. Our team provides exhaustive language support (incl. translation, interpretation, copy-editing in 50+ languages and a broad array of formats) for internal and external communication assets. As an intern or working student on our team, you will work with our project managers and internal translators on a great variety of challenging and innovative tasks. Never a dull moment - promised:

  • Support project managers and translators in managing a vast range of multilingual translation/multimedia projects sing various tools for project management and translation
  • Support our exploration of MT and AI tools for translation
  • Get involved in strategic projects related to the team’s migration to a new cloud-based tool landscape
  • Assist in configuring the new tool landscape and participate in tool testing activities to ensure that newly developed features match the team’s requirements
  • Assist the team in trouble-shooting tool-related issues with the aim to find the root-cause and optimize processes sustainably
  • Create/re-design and update internal process and tool documentation to enhance team efficiency and knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate on strategic initiatives that will shape future processes and technology within our department

What you bring

Are you a linguistics, translation, or computer linguistics student who is passionate about words and languages? Or are you a student of IT related studies with a passion for translation and languages?

  • Solid MS Office skills
  • Experience with standard translation tools such as Trados Studio, XTM would be great, regex skills a bonus
  • Fluency in English is a must, fluency in German is preferred. Knowledge of an additional language will be seen as a plus
  • We’re looking for someone with great team spirit, strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and proactively
  • You should be able to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Furthermore, you should be able to work with a set timeline, show analytical and problem-solving skills
  • An open mindset for learning and applying new technologies is required
  • Working from the office in St.leon Rot is required at least once or twice a week

With the strong support of our external translation suppliers, we handle any type of communication that requires translation. Our customers aren't just anyone — they're our worldwide internal colleagues at SAP.

We translate a wide array of communication materials, some of them strictly confidential. Our customers are our own internal colleagues who are situated in departments all over the SAP world, for example in the SAP Board Office, SAP Advisory Board, Works Councils, Global Labor Relations and other functions like Human Resources, Legal, Finance & Administration.
