Your Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and reflect on learning experiences based on the school’s curriculum and the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), ensuring alignment with Hessen curriculum requirements, including documentation, assessment, and reporting.
- Design engaging, inquiry-based lessons that foster curiosity, deep conceptual understanding, and international-mindedness within a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Apply differentiated teaching strategies, materials, and assessments to meet the diverse needs, abilities, and interests of all learners.
- Undertake playground and cover duties.
- Assess, monitor, and document student progress in line with school policy, the PYP approach to assessment, and Hessen regulation.
- Work collaboratively within a teaching team, including close partnership with a co-teacher and the PYP Coordinator, contributing to planning, unit development, and continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
- Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, ensuring clear and regular communication regarding student progress and well-being.
- Contribute actively to the wider school community through participation in meetings, professional development, parent-teacher conferences, school events, and student activities such as excursions and trips.
Your Profile
- Certified training as a primary teacher, with a degree in education, primary education and/or equivalent, that leads to a teacher qualification.
- German at B2 level or higher, as well as working proficiency in English.
- Experience working in a primary school setting, ideally with teaching and lesson planning experience.
- While prior IB experience is advantageous, willingness to learn and work within the IB framework is essential.
- Interested in working in an international environment.
- Passionate and motivated to engage with our pedagogical concept.
