The Technical Calculation department at the Lippstadt site develops highly specialized in-house bearing calculation tools and software codes, which are used by the design and calculation engineers of our globally positioned business unit for the approval of large-size diameter bearings. To strengthen this expertise and to further expand it in the future, for example, for 2TRB main bearings in wind turbine applications, we are looking for a competent and committed employee who will contribute to the development of our FE analysis software. Aufgaben

  • You will familiarize yourself in detail with the modeling approaches of existing in-house and commercial calculation tools.
  • You will contribute to the development and application of methods for the computational evaluation of various failure mechanisms such as ring creeping and design criteria for different application areas of large-size diameter bearings.
  • Further development, programming and implementation of the algorithm for serial production projects will be at the core of your responsibilities.
  • Additionally, conducting training sessions and providing hands-on support for users across the entire business unit will be an integral part of your tasks.
  • You will lead cross-functional and inter-disciplinary calculation projects with colleagues throughout the global corporate network.

Profil

  • You have completed a university degree in a relevant engineering discipline or a similar field and have specialized in topics related to technical calculation / simulation.
  • You possess fundamental knowledge of technical mechanics and numerical mathematics in an engineering context.
  • You have several years of practical experience with FEM software, ideally ANSYS and preferably in the wind business.
  • First programming experience in C++, MATLAB and/or Python would be well noted.
  • You’re characterized by strong analytical skills and you likewise work in a structured, independent and solution-oriented manner.
  • Business-fluent German language skills and very good English language skills complete your profile.
