Civil Engineer

I’m currently partnering with a leading multinational energy company with a substantial global pipeline of utility-scale onshore wind projects. Due to continued growth and major investment across multiple markets, they are looking to appoint an experienced Civil Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale wind developments from design through to construction.

The Role

As a Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of utility-scale onshore wind farms. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary internal teams and external consultants, ensuring civil designs are robust, efficient, and fully constructible.

You will be involved across the full project lifecycle - from feasibility and site assessment through to detailed design, procurement support, and construction-phase engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate civil design for large-scale wind farm projects
• Oversee turbine foundations, crane hardstandings, access roads, drainage and earthworks design
• Manage site investigations and geotechnical assessments
• Support planning and permitting submissions with technical documentation
• Review consultant designs and ensure compliance with company and international standards
• Provide technical support during procurement and contractor selection
• Support construction activities, resolving technical issues and ensuring quality delivery
• Monitor programme, budget, and risk related to civil scope

Required skills:

• Degree-qualified Civil Engineer
• 5+ years’ experience in infrastructure or renewable energy projects
• Demonstrated experience on utility-scale onshore wind projects
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete foundations and geotechnical design
• Fluent in German and English
