What you will do:
- responsible for the design of control & monitoring systems for diesel, gas, and dual fuel engines, as well as selected components like combustion chamber monitoring, knock detection or ignition pressure monitoring
- create requirement documents, technical specifications including test and validation plans
- develop solutions for electrical issues or customer requirements on field engines including cost, quality and process capabilities
- create technical descriptions specifications for PLC controls, followed by system testing and field trials for required or necessary system changes
- independent development of replacement solutions for systems and components that are no longer available
- responsible for constant product improvement
- responsible for product lifecycle management of core components
- support of the aftermarket business
- close collaboration in global teams
What you will have
- graduated electrical engineer
- professional experience in the field of Control & Monitoring for medium-speed gas, dual-fuel, and diesel engines, including development and design of hardware and software solutions for the engine safety system
- good knowledge in the development and design of ECM engine control software, requirement specifications and software specifications, as well as the subsequent system test and validation
- knowledge of system integration in power management systems in ships, power plants, and oil & gas applications
- experience in product commissioning and customer service is necessary
- open and effective communication is required, collaboration with suppliers is necessary, as well as a solution-oriented working method
- ePLAN CAE tool basic knowledge
- good English and German skills, both spoken and written
- willingness to travel worldwide
