Accountant

A Japanese company is currently recruiting an Accountant to work in their Dusseldorf office. In this role, you will be responsible for general accounting work including monthly and annual financial statements. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of accounting experience and proficiency in German.

Accounting Position Main Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly quarterly and annual closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations and accruals
• Support annual financial closing and preparation of financial statements
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable management
• Bank reconciliations and payment processing
• Support VAT returns and related tax matters
• Expense processing and ledger maintenance
• Assist with preparation of management reports
• Handle ad hoc accounting duties as required

Accounting Position Ideal Candidate:

• At least 3 years of accounting experience in Germany
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Business level fluency in German
• Native level of Japanese or English skill is a must
