Accountant

A Düsseldorf based logistics company is currently recruiting an Accountant.

In this role, you will be responsible for all the accounting operation.

The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge and practical experiences, as well as experience with DATEV.

Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skill will be advantageous.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Prepare budget forecasts
• Publish financial statements in time
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely bank payments
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Audit financial transactions and documents

Ideal Candidate

• 3 or more years of experience in Accounting/Audit
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software of DATEV
• Advanced MS excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Business level fluency in German and English
• Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skill will be advantageous
