As a Vice President in the EMEA CCOR Specialized Testing team, you'll be responsible for the timely and effective management and execution of the EMEA CCOR Global financial Crimes Compliance and 2nd Line of Defence (2LoD) testing activities to assess the effectiveness of financial crime related processes and controls. You will also be responsible for leading or supporting other EMEA CCOR Specialized testing programme/projects as required. This role offers an exciting opportunity with a supportive team to develop key skills and knowledge primarily relating to digital banking, but also in other business areas, including Corporate & Investment Bank, Asset & Wealth Management and other lines of business around the globe.
Role Responsibilities
- Execution of the EMEA CCOR 2LoD Monitoring and Testing Programme in line with the firm9s expectation. Perform testing to assess the design and effectiveness of processes and controls in place to manage operational, compliance and conduct risks.
- Self-managed testing of business process and controls against Regulatory requirements.
- Partnership with Operational Risk, Compliance managers, and business stakeholders.
- Validating action plans are addressing identified issues in line with the firm9s expectations.
- Involvement in departmental projects particularly in relation to the development of the Annual Monitoring and Testing Plan.
- Work with global testing partners to support global monitoring and testing assignments as directed.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum of 5 years9 experience in Financial Crime/Compliance or Operational Risk Management experience in BSA/AML/KYC/Sanctions areas. Alternatively, other related experience such as audit, operations, business control management, or similar. ACAMS, ICA or comparable certification preferred.
- Strong communication and influencing skills - able to work across groups (Compliance, Controls and allied business groups), is collaborative, team-oriented and passionate about supporting internal / external stakeholders.
- Proven track record of successful stakeholder management.
- An understanding of financial crime risks and their drivers, and able to challenge the design and effectiveness of the associated business controls.
- The ability to interpret financial regulations and regulatory requirements, and assess operational compliance with those requirements.
- Good analytical skills, attention to detail and able to demonstrate a good knowledge of control design and root cause analysis, including data analysis.
- Have clear and concise verbal and written skills
- Have good organizational skills with an ability to independently manage, prioritise, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Be comfortable interacting with, and presenting to senior management, control functions, including internal and external auditors.
