SFMC Power User is the first point of escalation outside Database Marketing Pod for issues. Reports to Business Lead. Requires business background and strong understanding of SFMC capabilities. Accountable for working with Product Owner and relevant Pod members to resolve or escalate issues; Providing documentation of resolved escalations during monthly Pod Leadership meetings; Ensuring the proper data sync between Salesforce and Marketing Cloud; Developing solutions based on data model changes in SFDC; Access Administrator for Marketing Cloud; Raising tickets with Salesforce in case of defects.

In this role, the person will:

  • Be considered the Subject Matter Expert for Salesforce Marketing Cloud setup and administration
  • Establish an intimate understanding of source data, specifically those data elements that support segmentation and profiling to drive campaign tactics and customer journey goals
  • Responsible for solution design and execution of Marketing Cloud, ensuring best practices are followed and the full features of the solution are utilized, where appropriate
  • Work closely with Account Management teams and both internal and external technical teams to ensure business requirements are translated into technical tasks that fulfill the needs of the client
  • Should have hands on experience with a majority of Marketing Cloud Studios (Automation Studio, Email Studio, Content Builder, Contact Builder, Journey Builder, Web Studio, Analytics Builder, etc.) while ensuring they maintain kledge of new features/releases made available by Salesforce
  • Will be the point of contact to address anomalies and troubleshooting of the solution to identify source issues while working across teams to drive resolution (including working with Salesforce on defect resolution)
  • Ensure audit trails are in place to anticipate problem areas in advance where possible
  • Provide technical oversight of team members utilizing Marketing Cloud, ensuring standard processes are followed with quality assurance in mind
  • Work with leadership and across teams to prioritize incoming requests with capacity in mind
  • Responsible for enhancement requests and data model changes driven by business needs or integration with new source data
  • Understand and analyze campaign data in order to modify campaign strategy
  • Documenting and sharing lessons learned


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • SFMC Consultant Certification
  • Minimum 4 year of experience in Salesforce
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Experience with Agile methodology, including Scaled Agile for Enterprise (SAFe)
  • At least 4 years of experience in business process and/or requirements gathering
  • Experience with customer data and entitlements
  • Experience working in complex, enterprise, global or Marketing Cloud implementations
  • Ability to perform efficiently within a high pressure, fast-paced environment

Supervisory Responsibility:

Oversees a team responsible for Salesforce Marketing Cloud reporting & analytics as well as latent re-engagement function
