The position within the Total Rewards Compensation Operations team is focused on delivering data- and process-driven compensation solutions tailored to the German context. The TR Senior Specialist/Expert owns the operational delivery and governance of compensation programs ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely execution. The position of the TR Senior Specialist/Expert reports directly to the Global Head of Total Rewards Intelligence & Operations.
Within our team, we practice a trust-based working model. If you need to work flexibly from another location or at another time you can do so given your manager’s agreement.
What you’ll do
- Translate global compensation programs and policies into Germany-specific requirements, regulations and internal governance, preparing required documentation and supporting Works Council processes.
- Coordinate compensation-related projects and workstreams, aligning HR, legal and business stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
- Lead compensation activities for Germany, coordinating timelines, data readiness and tool-supported processes.
- Produce clear, robust compensation analyses and reports to inform decisions, negotiations and modernization efforts.
- Support continuous improvement of the effectiveness and quality of TR services and processes, aligning local processes with global and regional standards.
- Deliver timely management information and insights to support decision-making and regulatory requirements.
- Own, drive and execute local projects. Contribute to the further development of SAP’s TR standards, policies and procedures on Compensation and Benefits portfolio.

What you bring
- Higher education degree (Bachelor / University / Master Degree in Business Administration or similar) • Good understanding of base and variable pay, long term incentives, and recognition programs • Excellent analytical and excel skills, data‑driven mindset
- Business professional with a proven track record of successfully closed projects
- Has the seniority and credibility to confidently interact with various stakeholders
- Natural team player with a strong customer‑focus and a positive and constructive attitude who feels comfortable working in an international and virtual organization
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken), good communication skills
- Preferably in depth knowledge of SAP HCM solution
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Work experience
- 8+ years of professional experience incl. > 3 years of experience in HR or Total Rewards
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Experience in working/managing global and virtual environment
- Able to support multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be flexible in a global environment
