Frontend Engineer - ZEOS (all genders)

Role: The B2B Platform enables partners to integrate and grow within the Zalando ecosystem. As a Frontend Engineer you will join a cross‑functional team building the B2B Portal and specialized portal applications, working in an API‑first environment to create intuitive, high‑performance user interfaces. You will collaborate with senior engineers and product managers, taking ownership of code from development through production monitoring. Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain user‑facing features using React and TypeScript, adhering to Zalando’s Design System. - Contribute to modern architectures, building modular components in a Micro Frontend and SPA environment. - Own the full development lifecycle, including design, testing, deployment via CI/CD pipelines. - Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality, documentation, and performance. - Collaborate with backend engineers and designers to define API contracts and deliver seamless user experiences. - Stay updated on web trends and share improvements with the team. Qualifications: - Professional experience with React, TypeScript, modern CSS/HTML and build tools such as Webpack. - Proven track record of delivering stable features in an Agile environment and taking end‑to‑end ownership. - Familiarity with Micro Frontends, SPAs and RESTful APIs. - Understanding of automated testing and basic web security concepts (e.g., Okta/OpenID). - DevOps mindset with experience using AWS and Kubernetes. - Strong communication skills in English and a collaborative attitude.
