Our department plays a pivotal role in leveraging cutting‑edge Data and AI solutions across the Mercedes-Benz value chain. We directly accelerate the development of the world's most desirable cars by strategically building and steering the foundational data and AI capabilities that empower our business.

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary System Architect to design, develop, and oversee the implementation of our comprehensive AI ecosystem. In this critical role, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical capabilities, guiding the strategic direction and successful execution of AI solutions from concept to deployment.

Key Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Architecture: Design and implement AI strategies and robust architectures, including data pipelines, model deployment and integration in the existing IT landscape.
Technology Selection: Evaluate and select optimal AI tools, platforms, and technologies based on scalability, cost, and compatibility.
Ecosystem Integration: Build cohesive AI systems for company‑wide integration.
Ethical AI & Compliance: Ensure AI implementation adheres to ethical policies, regulatory standards and data privacy.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with data scientists, engineers, and business leaders to define AI architecture and guide technology decisions.
Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize AI systems performance, algorithms, and models for accuracy and efficiency.
Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to AI development teams.

Qualifications

An above‑average degree (master, MBA or doctorate) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or similar (depth in advanced AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning algorithms and techniques is preferred). Maximum of 3 years of professional experience (apart from studies). At least 3 months of experience abroad (study, international internship, work and travel). Strong affinity for digital technologies in AI capabilities and cloud services and enthusiasm for future trends. We value applicants who show a strong sense of social responsibility. Excellent English skills (C1), proficiency in German (B2). You are eager to shape the transformation at Mercedes‑Benz and take responsibility. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with exceptional analytical abilities. You demonstrate strong teamwork skills who motivates others to achieve their goals.
