What you'll do

As a working student (f/m/d) you will be part of one of our Scrum teams, working side by side with our true Full Stack Developers, Backend Experts and Frontend Heroes. You will be responsible for implementing features and functions according to the backlog and the requirements of a cloud environment. Furthermore, we also have special topics with a focus on investigating innovative technologies and introducing new state-of-the-art tools. Our tasks are manyfold, and we will select one together with you based on your personal skills and interests: Working on microservices that are typically developed in Java, Spring (Boot) and combined with technologies like Apache Kafka and PostgreSQL, interacting with each other via Eventing and API calls. In this context, you will be responsible for ensuring consistently high quality with a high degree of test automation.

What you bring

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Preferred fields of study: Computer Science
  • Computer skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Experience with version control systems like Git, Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • Language skills: Fluent in English, German as a plus
  • Soft skills: Effective communication, Having the ability to analyze complex problems, self-motivation
  • Coming to the office in Walldorf at least once per week required

SAP Subscription Billing is a standalone SaaS (Software as a Service) solution that is being developed as a true cloud-native application – distributed across microservices, highly scalable, highly consumable, built on a flexible event-driven architecture, deployed to public clouds across the globe and tightly integrated with SAP S/4HANA - one of the most widely adopted business platforms in the industry to manage our customers' digital transformations.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
