Multimedia Platform Engineer (m/f/d)

As a Multimedia Platform Engineer, you will be part of our highly skilled software engineering team. Together with our highly qualified and motivated team members, you will adapt, develop and work on development tasks to maintain and further extend the multimedia foundation platform.

Your Responsibilities

  • You analyze incoming requests for Multimedia Platform-related functionalities and modification of existing Multimedia Platform-related functionalities and provide related development effort estimations
  • You develop new and maintain existing Multimedia Platform-related functionalities, applications and testcases (including problem solving)
  • You communicate with stakeholders on-going development tasks and requests in order to efficiently move forward
  • You contribute own ideas in the field and show initiative
  • You conceive and implement "small" and "medium" scale architectural solutions in alignment with strategy

Your Profile

  • You show enthusiasm and passion on multimedia technologies
  • You are highly experienced C/C++ software engineer, ideally on embedded platforms
  • You bring strong experience with at least one multimedia processing framework (eg. GStreamer, DirectShow) and strong kledge and overview of Audio-/Video-Codec technologies and related storage formats
  • You hold implementation experience on live-streaming formats or protocols (eg. Digital TV Broadcast / MPEG-TS, MPEG-DASH, HLS, RTP)
  • Ideally you have experience with video rendering / compositing APIs (e.g. OpenGL ES, EGL), in software optimization (including SIMD on x86/ARM), with Hardware Accelerated Video decoding APIs (e.g. OpenMAX IL, VA API, DXVA) and in Digital Signal Processing and Information Theory
