Assistant Buyer Footwear - 12 months limited contract (all genders)

Role: Assistant Buyer Footwear (12-month fixed-term contract) Team: Private Label Team at Zalando, Europe's leading online platform for fashion. The team curates an on-trend and profitable selection of fashion and lifestyle products, collaborating with Design, Product Development, Merchandising, Logistics, Content/Photo Production, Onsite, and Marketing. Responsibilities: - Drive financial targets and KPIs for the unit, taking accountability for actions. - Support operational matters: create, maintain, send, and cancel orders, ensuring smooth end-to-end processes. - Gradually take ownership for first Commodity Groups. - Prepare product-based analysis for trading decisions, assortment proposals, and line plans. - Independently join strategic and trading meetings. - Act as first contact for suppliers alongside buyers, ensuring smooth workflow. - Collaborate with design, product, and planning teams to ensure product availability. - Support marketing and trend topics, contributing to creative and commercial strategy. - Engage in cross-functional collaboration with KAM, PLM, Logistics, Content/Photo Production, and Marketing. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Fashion Management, or similar. - Basic knowledge and ~1 year experience in Buying or Merchandising at assistant level. - Passion for e-commerce, thriving in fast-paced environments, proactive and collaborative. - Efficient workload organization, accuracy, and prioritization. - Proficiency in MS Office and Google Tools; strong understanding of trends and products, especially at European-market level.
