Caterpillar Energy Solutions (CES) Trainee Program (m/w/d)

Role Definition
CES Trainee Program: This is rotational program, starting August, 1 2025, aiming to support fresh graduates with their first or second working experiences. The CES Trainee Program is a talent development program of 18 months, where our new colleagues will have opportunity to work in 3 different departments of CES organization (even internationally) to learn the most fundamental disciplines of business management.

You will start with a 3 month training program in the corporate MTC my Training Class team. After this 3 month you will have have the opportunity to select 4 months experience in 3 of the following departments: Marketing (4 months); Supply Chain (4 months); Strategy (4 months); Sales Excellence (4 months); Project Management (4 months); Digital / Remote monitoring (4 months); Human Resources (4 months) .

At the end of this trainee program, you will have full visibility of major business management processes, as well as good understanding of P&L and operation implications of business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Training (First 3 months)
    • You will start your journey with a 3month training program (called the MTC My Training Class) where you will learn about Caterpillar products, our Services, and the company strategies per industry, participate in influencing skills curriculum, build and expand your network and be exposed to dealers in our Europe, Africa, Middle East (EAME) region and Central Asia
  • Marketing
    • External Communication (including social media)
    • Internal Communication (including PR)
    • Market analysis
    • Event organization
  • Supply Chain
    • Fundamentals of SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning)
    • Working with suppliers and customers of CES
    • Managing working capital and inventory reduction programs
  • Strategy
    • Preparation of business case for one of the CES major initiative
    • Presentation to senior leadership of selected business case
    • Following first steps in business case implementation
  • Sales Excellence
    • Firsthand experience with SAP
    • Firsthand experience with SFDC (Sales Force.com)
    • Experience with KPI setting and performance management
    • Experience with people development programs
  • Project Management
    • Assisted project management of one projects from Purchase Order to delivery to customer (responsible for about 1 M EUR P&L)
  • Digital twin technologies
    • Working on implementation of digital tools on CES gensets
    • Intermediating between different departments on implementation
    • Following on first proof of concepts by customers (together with assigned project owner)
  • Human Resources
    • Working in Recruiting
    • Be part of HR related processes in supporting the business strategy
    • Lead and support HR projects


Degree Requirement

  • Bachelor or Master degree
  • MBA will be considered as advantage

Skill Descriptors

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Additional Information;

  • Required
    • Good analytical skills
    • Willingness to continuously learn
    • Basic understanding of financial and accounting principles
    • English language (min level B2/C1)
    • Good understanding of MS office (e.g. Excel)
  • Advantage
    • Knowledge of any foreign language
    • 6 months + working experience will be considered advantage (any part time job or trainee program is included)
