The Electrification + Energy Solutions (E+ES) division of Caterpillar focuses on developing advanced electrified powertrains, zero-emission products/technologies, and related solutions and services. Key areas include batteries, fuel cells, motors, inverters, microgrid controllers, charging infrastructure, energy storage systems, lifecycle solutions/services, and the integration of components for ePowertrain solutions across various industries.

Job Overview
The Electrification Consultant uses problem-solving skills and technical expertise to support customers in implementing pilot projects and/or business development. Challenges are often unique and require innovative, unconventional approaches as well as close collaboration with various partners on site.
This is a targeted support role with responsibility for the configuration, implementation, and on-site support of applications and technologies in the field of electrification and advanced drive solutions in Europe.
Your Responsibilities:
- Analysis of current customer operations and development of technically and economically viable solutions to achieve productivity and profitability goals.
- Coordination of on-site activities and with partners to achieve project goals.
- Support in the implementation of electrified solutions in collaboration with teams for product introduction at the customer.
- Close field support for the successful execution of pilot projects and the introduction of new technologies.
- Development of solutions for pilot projects in collaboration with internal teams or identification and support of external business partners.
- Documentation and measurement of learning goals using structured, fact-based methods.
- Monitoring of system performance.
- Communication of test results and pilot project findings to relevant stakeholders.
Your Profile:
Customer Orientation:
- Several years of relevant professional experience – ideally in the construction and/or energy generation industry with a focus on electrification.
- Ability to develop customer-specific solutions – preferably in the areas of battery, hybrid, and grid solutions.
- Identification, validation, and communication of customer requirements.
- Gathering customer feedback and implementing improvements.
Technical Excellence:
- Proven experience in solving customer problems with suitable products and integrated electrification systems.
- Understanding of total cost of ownership (TCO) and the economic impacts of electrification.
- Experience in supporting the implementation of solutions at the customer.
- Knowledge of energy management systems and optimization of electricity costs.
Value Selling:
- Ability to clearly present the value of products/services and differentiate from the competition.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills to convince customers of economically optimal electrification solutions while considering sustainability goals.
- Ability to train others in value-selling principles.
Communication:
- Ability to convey complex technical and economic topics to different audiences.
- Creation of presentations and reports for customers, partners, and management.
Relationship Management:
- Ability to operate in a complex matrix organization and exert influence.
- Quick and effective responses to customer inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaboration with customers to solve critical problems.
- Use of active listening and questioning techniques to identify challenges.
Languages:
- Fluent in English and German.
Additional Information:
- Travel required 50–70%.

Base Minimum Pay: €99,906.00
Please note that salary is only one component of the total compensation and benefit package available at Caterpillar.
This position requires working onsite five days a week.
