THE ROLE & THE TEAM

As a Principal Business Developer Loyalty for Zalando's loyalty program (Plus), you will lead strategic, multi-market initiatives to enhance Zalando's new loyalty program, especially its partnerships. Forge strong relationships with Loyalty Product, Market Development, local Market teams, Propositions, and ZMS, etc. to create sustainable growth strategies. Drive program success by tailoring features and benefits to each local market's dynamics and customer preferences through market analysis and cultural adaptation. Monitor performance, gather feedback, and use data to optimize the loyalty program across all markets, reinforcing Zalando's leadership in customer loyalty.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Cross-Market Opportunity Development: Collaborate extensively across various markets to identify and develop strategic opportunities for enhancing our loyalty program, ensuring exceptional customer experiences globally.

  • Partner Strategy: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with brand partners and other potential partners, driving mutually beneficial initiatives and collaborations.

  • Commercialization and Operationalization: Lead creation of guiding principles for commercialization and operationalization of loyalty initiatives and capabilities, ensuring seamless integration and measurable impact (together with relevant stakeholders). Examples therefore are leading the giveaway and priority access commercial strategy.

  • Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with the Loyalty Product and Market Development teams, market cluster teams, and central retail teams to ensure alignment, effective communication, and successful execution of loyalty strategies.

  • Stakeholder Management: Regularly engage with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to communicate strategic plans, present results, and secure buy-in for key initiatives, demonstrating leadership and influence throughout.

  • Foster an Inclusive Culture: Promote an inclusive and diverse team environment, ensuring that all voices are heard and valued.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • Extensive Experience: You have 6+ years of experience in Consulting, E-commerce, FMCG, or a similar field, with a strong focus on Strategy or Business Development and you are familiar working with product teams.

  • Passion for Loyalty Programs: You have a deep passion for ecommerce, fashion, and loyalty programs, with an understanding of how to drive customer engagement and retention through loyalty initiatives.

  • Strategic & Analytical Skills: You have a proven ability to develop strategic initiatives and present them to senior management. Your analytical skills allow you to solve complex problems with innovative and high-quality solutions. You are able to analyse data sets and reports yourself and can build strategic recommendations based on your findings.

  • Execution Excellence: You can take initiative, manage deadlines, and carry multiple projects to completion, ensuring that loyalty strategies are effectively implemented and continuously improved.

  • Cultural Fit: You are an authentic, mission-driven individual who excels in managing senior stakeholders and navigating complex environments.

  • Language Skills: You have excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
