Principal Product Manager - Pricing Product (all genders)

Role: Principal Product Manager ML - Pricing Platform at Zalando. Lead pricing systems, price optimisation, forecasting and optimisation tools for the commercial operation. Responsibilities: - Shape the engineering infrastructure for cutting‑edge optimisation products that recommend prices for over 300k items across 24+ countries. - Define a long‑term vision, identify and prioritise problems, and build fact‑based business cases. - Structure complex mathematical/economics topics into easy‑to‑understand messages and communicate across all levels. - Work with the team and stakeholders to develop and prioritise epics and user stories. - Lead delivery with engineering, operations research, and data science teams in an agile development process. Qualifications: - Product management experience at a lead/principal level, owning a long‑term vision and roadmap with a data‑driven approach. - Excellent communication skills to analyse and clearly convey business problems and priorities to engineering and business stakeholders. - Strong understanding of econometrics, mathematics and statistics; Python/SQL skills. - Experience in machine learning and data science/engineering. - Preferred Masters/PhD in economics or a related scientific field.
