Senior Principal Product Manager – Partner Experience & AI Platform (all genders)

Role Zalando’s Partner Tech team builds the infrastructure, digital interfaces, data services and AI-driven intelligence that enable thousands of brand partners to operate and thrive within our B2C marketplace. As a Senior Principal Product Manager (head‑level individual contributor), you will act as the horizontal steward of the end‑to‑end digital partner journey, bridging complex backend capabilities, data products and high‑performing partner experiences while architecting a next‑generation AI platform. Responsibilities - Horizontal Experience Stewardship: oversee the end‑to‑end digital partner journey and coordinate cross‑functional efforts to create a cohesive, high‑performance experience for brands. - AI Platform Strategy & Orchestration: define vision and strategy for the central AI platform, building infrastructure such as LLM orchestration, agentic frameworks and RAG patterns. - Ecosystem‑Led Infrastructure: drive platform evolution ensuring modular, extensible infrastructure that integrates deeply with partner APIs and autonomous agents. - Central Infrastructure Ownership: own the roadmap for key central products, including the Partner Design System and foundational technical infrastructure. - Executive Communication & Influence: translate complex technical trade‑offs into compelling business narratives for leadership and engineering. - Leadership & Mentorship: coach and mentor junior product colleagues and contribute to product craft leadership within Partner Tech. Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in high‑scale platforms, SaaS or marketplaces, with strong understanding of APIs‑as‑products and developer experience. - Deep expertise in the Generative AI stack, including LLM orchestration, agentic workflows and production‑grade automation. - Proven ability to drive alignment across complex organisations and manage high‑stakes change programmes. - Technical authority capable of engaging with principal engineers on architecture and system design. - Passion for delivering intuitive, B2C‑grade enterprise software and championing customer & UX excellence.
