The ZEISS Digital Partners unit based in Munich, Oberkochen and Jena is realizing cutting-edge customer-centric digital solutions jointly with the Segments of the ZEISS Group.

Your role:

As the principal software architect for our digital customer interaction solutions, you’ll focus on our Adobe Experience Manager Content Management System, actively shaping digital services for our customers and driving their day-to-day successes. You’ll work within a cross-functional team of product owners, UX/UI designers and engineers.
Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing next-generation digital customer interaction touchpoints, with a focus on AEM Cloud
  • Supporting and guiding the development team with your hands-on coding skills
  • Collaborating with and contributing to the success of agile development teams during implementation and refinement
  • Developing, applying and persuading others to implement ZEISS group-wide guidelines, and supporting relevant solution architecture
  • Overseeing the development of products, solutions and services through to productivity

A successful candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years’ professional experience in a similar position, building confidence as a software engineer (preferably B2B, broad AEM kledge, products – not prototypes) in an agile environment
  • A kledgeable approach to the architecture of combining CMS systems with SPAs to deliver a seamless experience
  • Strong coding skills in at least one language: Java, TypeScript, or
  • A thorough understanding of at least one cloud, preferably Microsoft Azure, including its advantages, limitations and pitfalls
  • Independent leadership skills to drive productive engineering discussions and maintain an environment of mutual understanding
  • Effective communication skills to easily navigate in both corporate and tech environments
  • Fluency in German and English
