About this role
Role:
As a (Senior) Business Continuity Manager (all genders) you will be responsible for the further development of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework of Zalando Payments, collaborating with Zalando Group BCM, and conducting Business Impact Analyses, BCM risk assessments, testing exercises, reporting and crisis management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Business Continuity methodology.
- Plan, prepare and execute BIAs and BCM risk assessments for Zalando Payments.
- Develop and implement business continuity plans and ICT response and recovery plans.
- Conduct business continuity audits and testing of teams within Zalando Payments and third‑party service providers.
- Further develop crisis management processes with Zalando Payments.
- Maintain and improve existing BCM awareness channels and training.
- Advise and support individual business units on all business continuity issues.
- Ensure compliance with BCM regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Law, Economics, Computer Science or a comparable field.
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in a financial institution, consulting company, industrial company or a similar in‑house function.
- Strong understanding of BCM processes and knowledge of standards such as ISO 22301/27301, DORA, ZAG MaRisk.
- Business‑fluent written and spoken English with strong communication skills.
- Self‑driven, hands‑on individual able to navigate ambiguity, manage pressure and deliver practical solutions.
- Experience translating BCM data into actionable insights.
- Experience managing BCM‑related projects (nice to have).
