We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager Production to join our Large Power Systems team to support Caterpillar large engine production at our Kiel facility.
What you will do:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of all shifts of one or more manufacturing production areas.
- Direct staffing, development, and performance management programs for operations staff.
- Manage, motivate and develop a production management team.
- Lead with high standards and accountability.
- Oversee operations activities, ensuring that safety, production schedules and performance requirements are met and resources are used effectively.
- Take full accountability for Quality within production and execute feedback loop to causal parties to drive Root Cause Corrective Actions.
- Monitor overall operations performance and implement production safety, cost, and quality control mechanisms.
- Lead production reporting and monitor / audit production metrics
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and create a safe and sound manufacturing environment.
- Partner effectively with functional peers in Supply Chain, EHS & HR to meet operational goals.
Skills you must have:
- Manufacturing Operations: Knowledge of manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products.
- Manufacturing Safety: Expertise in manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.
- Analytical Thinking: Understanding of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization
- Problem Solving: Familiarity with approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintain focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.
- Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent experience desired.
- Very good German (at least C1) and very good English skills (at least B2).

We are back! This role requires being in the office five days a week.
