(Junior) User Experience Researcher (f/m/d)
About this role
We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
What you’ll build:
As a (Junior) User Experience Researcher (f/m/d) in the UX Mobile team of SAP Build Design, you'll play a vital role in supporting and shaping the mobile design efforts within SAP Build Design. Working alongside your team, together you'll craft mobile experiences that are not only effective and accessible but also consistent, aligning perfectly with SAP’s goal of delivering innovative, AI-first, mobile-ready, and lively enterprise software solutions.
You’ll collaborate closely with a diverse mix of talented colleagues, including Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineers. This teamwork ensures our products truly focus on what users need and love. By conducting engaging interviews and fun collaborative workshops, you’ll help clarify research goals and discover valuable insights. You'll design and execute detailed user research plans to better understand users’ needs, attitudes, and behaviors.
Part of your exciting role will involve creating thorough interview and testing scripts, including moderation guides, to collect both qualitative and quantitative data. You’ll carefully analyze this information, identifying patterns and meaningful insights. Your findings will be instrumental in shaping important design choices and guiding our product strategies to deliver the best possible experience for our users.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience conducting user research in enterprise or complex software environments.
- Proven experience in planning and conducting various user research methods, such as interviews, surveys, and usability tests.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Proficiency in developing detailed research documentation, including research plans, interview scripts, and test scripts.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present research findings and recommendations effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and influence product teams with research-driven insights.
- A deep passion for user-centered design and a commitment to improving the user experience.
- Fluent English and German language skills, both spoken and written.
Where you belong:
You will be part of the UX Mobile team at SAP Build Design, which is a part of BTP Experience & Design, where we work together to enhance and elevate the UX experience across SAP through thoughtful initiatives and coordinated efforts with the central design team. In this team, we all work hand in hand to build a more mature UX organization at SAP through strategic projects and close collaboration with broader design initiatives.
There are many wonderful growth opportunities ahead: whether you're interested in diving into AI-driven design and automation or looking to deepen your skills in enterprise UX systems, this role puts you at the exciting crossroads of innovative technology and a global community.
What makes this workplace truly special is the wide-reaching impact of your work: your contributions to SAP Build have the potential to influence thousands of customers, millions of end users, and entire ecosystems. You won’t just be creating features — you’ll be helping to shape how companies innovate, automate, and grow for years to come.
