The Charging System department enables our customers to enjoy the best possible charging experience by integrating our AC and DC charging systems into electric and plug-in vehicles. We ensure seamless interaction with on-board and off-board functions, making the charging process convenient and reliable. Our development process includes defining the entire charging system at a functional level, covering infrastructure requirements, standards, charging profiles, charging services, and HMI requirements. In addition, we are responsible for the validation and approval of the charging functions in all battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
In our team, we develop charging solutions for future Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles. You can expect the following challenges:
- Conducting literature research on technical topics
- Researching and selecting suitable simulation tools and methods
- Contributing to the design of a simulation environment for virtual vehicle control units of the next generation of Mercedes-Benz vehicles

Requirements
- Degree program in engineering (electrical engineering, computer science, simulation technology, or a comparable field)
- Proficiency English (written and spoken); a good command of German is beneficial
- Confident use of MS Office
- Commitment and ability to work in a team
- Analytical thinking and a structured, strategic way of working
- Knowledge in simulation is desirable, ideally in co-simulation
- Good programming skills (e.g. C, Python, MATLAB, …)
- Enthusiasm for vehicles and innovation
- Class B driver’s license desirable
